Collection of twenty treatises (plus shorter notes and excerpts) relating to mathematics, philosophy, history and related subjects, including a number of Graeco-Arabic texts.

The manuscript was copied in Dhū al-Qa‘dah 639/May 1242 at least in part from an exemplar that was copied in 'the west side of the city of Mahdīyah (بناحية المغرب بمدينة المهدية)' on 11 Rabī‘ I 531/7 December 1136 (see colophons of items sixteen, f. 172v, lines 11-16; and item eighteen f. 178r, lines 3-4).

  • (3) Thābit ibn Qurrah (ثابت بن قرّة), Min masā’il allātī sa’ala ‘anhā Abū Musá ‘Isá ibn Asad (من مسائل التي سأل عنها أبو موسى عيسى بن أسد) (ff 12v-16v);
  • (4) Abū al-Najā al-Fāriḍ (أبو النجا الفارض), Kitāb al-khamsīn mas’alah fī kasr al-manṭiq (كتاب الخمسين مسئلة في كسر المنطق) (ff. 16v-26v);
  • (5) Sinān ibn Thābit (سنان بن ثابت), Sīyāsat al-nufūs (سياسة النفوس) (ff. 26v-31v);
